In 2010, I was asked to serve on both the Editorial and Review boards of a newly formed journal, the International Journal of ePortfolio. This double-blind, peer-reviewed journal provides a unique and long-needed space for academics teaching portfolio to publish about their work. In the past, most portfolio research has been published in SOTL journals, so a journal devoted to portfolio research is a great fit for an ever increasing body of work.
It is an honor to serve on these boards. In my roles with IJEP, I review articles and provide periodic input on the direction of the journal.
In the 2013 to 2014 academic year, I have also been serving as the Guest Editor for the upcoming issue which releases in April 2014. For this issue, I arranged a collaboration between the International Journal of ePortfolio and the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). This collaboration involved presenters at AAC&U’s fifth annual Eportfolio Forum, which I chair, writing articles for IJEP to form a joint issue for 2014.
